Save The Sofa - Why You Need a Cat Scratcher

The cat sat on the mat? As far as I’m concerned, mats are for mutts. No way you’re going to find a sophisticated and stylish purrball like me hanging out on the floor.

No, if I’m sitting, then it’s on my human’s bed or on the sofa. Nothing else comes up to scratch. And talking of scratching, there’s nothing I enjoy more than sinking my claws into the sofa or the curtains and having a good stretch or play.

What's the deal with FURR-NITURE?

Trouble is, my human doesn’t share my enthusiasm for my claw maintenance and complains that I’m ruining her furniture.

Last month she had a hissy fit when I accidentally left a few scratches on her designer lounge chair. And then, just recently there was an incident with the reclaimed wood dining table. Well, I was only climbing up the legs. And my claws hardly left any marks at all.

It’s not my fault I like nice, well-made things. But my humans don’t see it like that. 

Anyway, for the past month or two, I’ve been in the doghouse.

But then, last week, something amazing happened. A big box arrived with the word Kazoo on the outside.

My human opened it and pulled out this.

Well, I’ve got to say, it was love at first sight.

In fact, it’s some of the most stylish cat furniture that I’ve ever seen.

I adore the stylish charcoal grey colour in that kitty fur soft fabric. And finally, some strong sisal rope that will stand up to my sharp claws.

The size is something else too. Purr-fect for climbing and it's big enough to share with my brother. Being bengal cats, we have a lot of energy to burn and often get the zoomies. This cat tree is wobble-proof. Trust me, we've tested it time and again. 

Now that we've got this cat tree, I've been checking out what else I can get my paws on...

Cardboard scratchers for the win!

It's probably a relief to my parents that not all cat scratchers are costly. There's no need to drain the kitty on this Wall + Ball Vertical Scratch Pad. It's big, it's affordable, and it will sure do the job of keeping my paws away from the curtains.

I must admit though, I do like the finer things in life and if I were to be spoilt as much as I think I deserve, this is at the top of my wish list.

You know what the best thing about the Kazoo cat playgrounds is? The bed on top. Us cats can lie up there, and the dog, aka Kibblebreath, can’t get anywhere near us!

Anyway, things are good again now at home. I’ve stopped putting my claws in mum’s sofa and curtains. So she’s happy. The Kazoo cat furniture is much sturdier and way more fun to play with anyway. So I’m happy too.
